Although I have blogged more often the past few days, I haven’t done it daily. I could do it daily, or at least try it daily but I don’t always have something interesting to say. For now it will be often but not daily, or at least I won’t set out to do it daily.

Along with a few random pics, I also wanted to warn anyone who visits this blog that I will be trying to redesign it over the next few days/weeks. Well I should say, find a different wordpress theme that I like. This has always been “just” my blog but I need a proper photography website to showcase a few photos and to promote my photo books and prints when they’re ready. I figured I might try to reconfigure this site to be my blog and photography site. Not sure I will like the results but I’ll try.
So bare with me as I experiment with this site. I hope you all have a great day and week!

I have tried to do the same with my blog without success. No matter what I try, I just can never get the portfolio portion to look and function the way I want it to. So, I gave up and went back to having a separate portfolio site through Format. I’ve used them since 2011. They have EXCELLENT customer service, which is ultimately what keeps me coming back. They have a ton of different options available, as well as different pricing tiers. They also have a storefront option if you want to sell prints or things. You should check it out. WordPress is best for blogging for sure, and maybe you’ll have better luck than I did, but I just couldn’t integrate the blog and portfolio into one site the way I wanted to. My portfolio website is http://www.leahartmanphoto.com.
Hey Lea, thank you so much for this! What you described with trying to get both to work here reminded me of the struggles I went through before. This blog still might need a refreshed look but I think a separate site is the way to go. I’ve done Squarespace before and thought about going back to that but Format looks awesome and they’re having a sale right now so it might be worth a shot.
That’s great Craig, I’m hoping you have look with the re-design and looking forward to seeing the outcome!
Loving the light bulb shot by the way!
Thank you Nathan!
