Some recipes I create seem really subtle and often times takes some before and after comparisons to see the difference between the recipe and the original.

“E6XD” is one of those recipes. I wanted to create a look that had some similarities to some slide film from the 70s and 80s. Velvia seemed like a perfect starting point for this. I used a locked in WB setting with a WB shift which I think is one of the most important aspects of my most successful recipes.

This has a bit of vintage vibe but not grungy, faded color type vintage but a vibrant yet vintage vibe. To compliment this look I shot a lot with a Pergear manual focus lens. These affordable Chinese lenses take inspiration from some classic lens designs and have a similar vibe to some of the images they create.
