Last year I unofficially took part in NaNoWriMo by using the month of November to put in some work on one of my scripts. This year I am participating again but I’m committing a little more. I signed up to share my word count progress on the official NaNoWriMo website and signed up for the Facebook group.

Traditionally NaNoWriMo is for writers working on novels but there have been screenwriting offshoots in the past and there still is one that happens in spring but I like being apart of the November writing marathon. After a few discussions with other with other writers in the NaNoWriMo FB group it seemed like there is still a need for a gathering place for screenwriters taking part in the traditional NaNoWriMo.

So I created a Facebook group for this specific thing. It’s called ScreenoWrimos. http://bit.ly/ScreenoWrimos

This group will be a great place to share tips, ask advice, motivate each other and just have general screenwriting discussions.
