Yesterday I talked about writing outside of the house. Changing the scenery. Scenery and location also plays an important role in stories as well. Every story has a general setting in terms of time and space.
Within the setting of the story itself are the locations of each scene. Coming up with intriguing ways to present a simple dialogue scene, for example, is something I challenge myself to do.
I won’t fret over my scene locations too much as I’m wrapping up this draft but when I go back to rewrite I will put each scene under a microscope and ask “Is there a better way to present this?”
This subject of scene locations is another subject I will ear mark for later. I’m running out of time this morning writing this blog update.
Until tomorrow…
