This will be a shorter update than usual but I want to try to keep these daily entries going.

One thing that’s been on my mind lately is the fact that a screenplay is meant to be made into a film. It is the roadmap for a story. This is not new discovery. We all know this but it kind of bums me out that I can’t really share the whole story with all of you until the film is made. Although I intend to make this film with my brother it’s still possible it will never happen. There are budgetary and scheduling obstacles on any film project and this is no exception.

Part of me thinks that I should find a way to tell this story or at least new stories with the same characters in a different format. I am far from being a novelist, so turning this into a book seems about as daunting as climbing Everest but who knows. I’ve listened to some fictional podcasts lately which remind me of the radio days where shows like that were common. Maybe I could do something like that with it.

The screenplay I’m writing is a part of a larger story, a larger “universe” if you will (I know that’s a buzzword right now, but it’s true). I really want to get these stories out there. Maybe I also need to revisit the idea of doing short films to build intrigue for the story universe I’m building.

So one way or another I hope you are able to enjoy this story I am writing. I will put all of my effort into presenting it to you in a film format but if it doesn’t happen I won’t let the story collect dust on a shelf. I will find a way to get it out into the world.
