NaNoWrimo Day 8. As I’ve been making my way through the script I’ve been learning and exploring Scrivener a bit more. The more I learn about it the more I love it. Scrivener strikes the perfect balance of complexity and simplicity. The way it does this is by making it very customizable, whether that’s within one writing session or with overall app settings.
What sets Scrivener apart from other popular screenwriting apps is the way it approaches the entire process of managing a project. In Scrivener, you’re not just writing a document, you are in fact working on and managing a project. All of this within Scrivener itself. This makes saving, backing up and making changes to your project much more convenient than manually managing independent documents and folders on your computer.
It syncs to mobile storage services like Dropbox so I can seamlessly move between my laptop and iPad.
After I’m done with this script I will do a very thorough walk-thru of Scrivener and the screenwriting related features I use.
