If you follow my photography account on Instagram then you’ve seen both of these images but I’d thought I’d start sharing some photos I post on here as well.
These are a couple of cool shots of Downtown Las Vegas taken with my old Canon 55mm f1.2 FL adpated to my Canon EOS 6D. When I open the aperture to 1.2 it has this super soft effect with really interesting bokeh. This lens (pictured at the bottom of this post) looks sharp and detailed when stopped down a few more stops but I like playing with it wide open and seeing the moody shots I can get. Eventually I will be getting a mirrorless camera and I can’t wait to see what this lens looks like when I adapt it for mirrorless. In the meantime I will continue to use it on my 6D and of course my Canon FTb QL film camera.
